Adeline joined August Consulting in October 2006, bringing with her editorial experience from the legal industry, mainly pertaining to law revision and editing of legal documents.
Before joining August Consulting, Adeline was a legal executive at the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC), the Singapore government’s legal adviser. During her three-and-a-half years at the Law Reform and Revision Division at AGC, Adeline was tasked with revising the Statues of Singapore for both Acts and Subsidiary Legislation. She also had experience in drafting simple subsidiary legislation.
Adeline also worked with state counsels to produce law reform consultation papers, mostly dealing with corporate laws, many of which have been followed through and brought into force as Acts.
As an active committee member at AGC, Adeline was involved in various committee work, notably as the human resource representative of her division to formulate survey forms and coordinate results for purposes of the Singapore Quality Award, draft and coordinate corporate literature for the organisation’s Annual Report and planning of its yearly Dinner and Dance Event.
Prior to joining August Consulting, Adeline worked at MediaCorp Press Ltd for the TODAY newspaper for a year. As a sub-editor at the general sub-editors desk, she put to good use the editorial experience she gained at AGC. She worked together with journalists and editors to produce TODAY, which has become the country’s second-most widely read English newspaper. Her commitment to work was recognised by senior editors and she was selected to be in the editorial team to produce a special edition of the paper for the General Elections in 2006.
Adeline graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore in 2001, majoring in Political Science and European Studies.
