Melissa joined August Consulting in May 2008, bringing with her financial audit and recruitment experiences from PricewaterhouseCoopers and Kerry Consulting respectively.
During her time in PricewaterhouseCoopers, she was involved in the financial audit of medium to large multinational clients. These clients span across various industries, including pharmaceutical, commodities trading, insurance, technology, shipping, investment holding, and entertainment and leisure.
She was tasked as a team-leader for some audit engagements, where she played a key role in project managing the assignments. She worked closely with her clients in understanding their financials and fundamentals, and guiding them through the preparation of their financial statements. She is also familiar with the Sarbanes Oxley Act as she was involved in various internal controls projects for compliance with the Act.
Melissa also worked briefly as a Recruitment Consultant at Kerry Consulting, where she was responsible for recruitment of finance personnel and client account servicing.
Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy (2nd Upper Class Honours) from Nanyang Technological University. Upon her graduation, she interned at ACP Asia and wrote several articles for The Singapore Women's Weekly. She is currently a Certified Public Accountant of Singapore.
