Winston brings with him 16 years of varied public relations experience in the Public Utilities Board, Keppel Bank, a leading PR consultancy and Nokia Asia Pacific.
His professional experience included providing strategic counsel to corporations in developing integrated communications programmes to maximise product branding and corporate positioning, as well as to establish and maintain relations with the media at local and regional levels.
Winston's portfolio includes handling crisis communications, product liability and safety issues, intellectual property rights and environmental issues, amongst others.
He has also planned and coordinated regional press conferences, product launches, hospitality events, technology roadshows, exhibitions and corporate citizenry events. Winston's instrumental role in Nokia's regional launch and hospitality event was awarded Asian PR Awards' Honourable Mention for Technology Campaign of the Year (1999) for creativity and strategic execution.
At August Consulting, Winston manages a portfolio of retainer clients in the areas of investor relations, corporate and marketing communications and issues management. He also has an established track record of IPO projects spanning myriad industries, as well as Section 144A IPOs; and was heavily involved in the StarHub IPO.
In his 11 years of agency experience, Winston has serviced multinational clients such as Abbott Laboratories, Carlsberg, Cushman & Wakefield, Equant (then Global One), Four Seasons, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Mobil, Olympus, SmithKline Beecham, Standard Chartered Bank and Singapore's full-fledged infocomms provider, StarHub.
Winston has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Diploma in Business Administration, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting & Finance, and a Certificate in Public Relations.
