One of the founding partners of August Consulting, See Kim provides counsel to a number of SGX-listed companies based in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China across a plethora of industries such as aerospace, food & beverage, broadcasting, oil and gas, shipping, manufacturing, consumer products and ornamental fish.
Prior to August Consulting, he was a Senior Consultant at Scotchbrook-BSMG Worldwide from 2000 to 2002.
Before embarking on a career in public relations consultancy, See Kim was director of communications at Raffles Holdings Limited, where he was involved in its listing on the main board of the Singapore Exchange in 1999.
Earlier, he spent three years as corporate affairs manager in Far East Organization, the largest real estate developer in Singapore, and was responsible for all aspects of corporate and marketing communications -- media relations, events, corporate advertising, print collaterals and brand management. He initiated the revamp of Far East Organization’s corporate identity, the first since the Company’s inception in the 1960s.
The first seven years of his career was in the aviation industry – holding various middle management positions in Singapore Airport Terminal Services Ltd (SATS), including a two-year posting to the Republic of Maldives as general manager of a ground handling facility at Male International Airport - a joint venture between SATS and the Maldivian Government.
See Kim graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois, USA in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Journalism.
