Silvia joined August Consulting in 2004, bringing with her experience in marketing communications, corporate communications and investor relations, gained through her handling of accounts in diverse industries spanning F&B, pharmaceutical, electronics, airline, fashion and lifestyle sectors.
Before August Consulting, Silvia was a PR Account Manager at TAG by Dentsu where she drove the communications programmes for leading brands such as Carlsberg Singapore, Cathay Pacific Airways, Pioneer Corporation, HAACH, Braun BÜffel and BenQ. Her responsibilities encompassed media relations, corporate and product branding, strategic counsel as well as event management.
Some projects undertaken by Silvia in the course of her career included the media relations and communications strategies for Carlsberg in their "Drink with a World of Friends" re-branding exercise and during the 2003 Caltex Singapore Masters, which generated extensive positive publicity for presenting sponsor, Carlsberg. Silvia also led the PR programme for the launch of BenQ's networked device series, the Joybook, to the media and more than 800 members of the public; and was responsible for the successful profiling of Dr. Barry Marshall, Abbott Laboratories' spokesman for the disease, H. Pylori.
From 2000 to 2002, Silvia was an Associate with Scotchbrook BSMG Worldwide where she gained significant experience in investors relations. She worked on accounts such as Parkway Holdings, Fraser and Neave, and Thakral Corporation. Silvia was also instrumental in helping companies looking to list on the Singapore Stock Exchange. These included Transview Holdings, Surface Mount Technology, Willas-Array Electronics and Portek International.
Silvia graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Sociology.
